October 5, 2022 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Kingborough Community Hub, Terrace Area, 7 Goshawk Way, Kingston

Gowrie Training & Consultancy will be providing a FREE practical workshop for school age children from 4 to 12 years. This workshop is funded through the Tasmanian Government’s Premier’s Fund for Children and Young People.

Children will have the opportunity to deconstruct a variety of pre-loved electrical items including desktop computers, DVD players, stereo systems, old phones and other items, using screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, hex keys and shifters.

Through this process children can explore the inner workings of selected items, build their understanding of how things work and develop their skills around the use of real tools.

This workshop will be delivered by Gowrie Training & Consultancy Consultant, Scott Gibson, who has worked extensively with school age children over the past 20 years delivering hundreds of children’s workshops to outside school hours care services, long day care services, child and family centres and schools across the state.
